Currently a senior manager in Technology and Innovation at SABIC, Evelyn Pearson has spent her post-graduate career in the chemical and refining industries. Her primary career focus has been in leading teams in process technology innovation. She has worked with over 30 chemical businesses and technologies. Most of her career has been in applied research and development, but she has also had roles in capital projects and manufacturing. Pearson holds a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota. She is an inventor on 16 patents and patents pending and has been published in the Journal of Catalysis. She has served on the Cornell University Council, Engineering College Council, the President’s Council of Cornell Women, and the Cornell Club of Chicago. She and her husband serve as chaplains at O’Hare and Midway Airports; they hosted a weekly radio show in the Chicago area for 10 years. While at Cornell, Evelyn was captain and co-captain of the Women’s Track team.
